He is risen! He is risen, indeed!! What a glorious time to celebrate our Savior & the fact that He's not dead, but alive & well!! I love Easter & everything about it. We were blessed to get to spend this one with both Scott's family & mine. Like always, there was lots of eating, laughter, & fun had by all. But, before all of that, Shannon, Tony & I did the Iron Pig Dualathon at the airport in Fayettville. I ran 3, Shannon biked 18, & Tony ran 3. My goal was 27 minutes, and I came in at 24:14...not too shabby!
Shannon & Tony are officially the coolest aunt & uncle of all time!! They got up Sunday morning, went to Walmart, bought eggs, candy, & toys, stuffed the eggs with candy & slips of paper with either prizes or "charades" the kids had to act out, then came back & hid them all before everyone came over! So awesome! The kids (both big & small) had a blast.

First swim of the year...on APRIL 1st!!!
This has been the warmest (and most perfect) winter that I can remember. Only a few days of temps in the 30's, hardly ever had to wear a coat, only one small dusting of snow, not one single snow day... which has caused spring to be warmer than usual as well, so what do we do?? We open the pool in March!! That's right, and Payton was the first one in on April 1st. She didn't stay long, but it still gave her bragging rights.
Dance Showcase 2012
Holland started dancing when she was 3 and has developed into quite the performer over the past 10 years. This year she tried out and made Jr. Company, and she and I got to travel to Atlanta with the group so the girls could perform and take classes from some of the best instructors in the country. It was a great trip, complete with 3 pieces of cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory! Yum!! (We're still trying to forget the part where there was a tornado warning in the middle of the show that had us all in the basement, and having our flight cancelled on the way home...) Just this past weekend, they competed in Bentonville at Dance Showcase along with several other very talented groups. Our Jr. Company jazz girls won 1st place in their division and 2nd overall, and our Jr. Company tap girls won 1st place in their division and 1st overall! We were one proud group of mommas and daddies!!
And, I'm back!!
I started this blog years ago to document the girls as they were growing and changing, and along the way I got "too busy" and didn't make this a priority, but I don't want to lose the importance of these tween & teen years either, so....here I am!...promising myself that I won't let it slide again....(we'll see)...
Where to start after almost a year and a half??? How about fabulous Aruba???
And, it was just that....fabulous!! This is how we spent Spring Break 2012. We love that God has blessed us so that we're able to have experiences like this with the girls. He has made one awesome creation!!
