Christmas #3

Grant & Mandie spent Christmas day with her family, so they headed up this way Friday night. We all got together on Saturday for our family Christmas. We let the kids read the Christmas story out of the Bible and open presents, then we all went to Rock & Rhonda's house. We ate all day AGAIN, talked for a while since Leah and Jesse were in from SC and played Rummikub. Another great day with some of the best people in the world! I love you all!!

Christmas #2

After the girls rode the 4-wheeler in the freezing cold for a few minutes, we cleaned up and headed down to Pam & Henry's in Russellville. Matt, Gina, Corey, and Christian were in from NC... Marc, Robin and their new baby, Scout, were there... And Rock, Rhonda, mom and dad all drove down to spend the day. We had a houseful and enough food to feed 3 times that many people!! It was so good to be together, but we missed Lanell and her group, Leah, Jesse, and Ethan, and Grant, Mandie and Gavin (that will be Christmas #3...). Maybe next time we'll have EVERYONE there!

Christmas #1

If you're reading this, I'm sure you've seen the Thanksgiving post on here where we all rode 4-wheelers while we were in El Dorado. Well, since then, it's been all the girls have talked about. Hey, thanks Dave!! They asked for one for Christmas, but we pretty much told them it wasn't gonna happen. And if you're reading this, you also already know how Scott is, and since he loves anything with an engine, he would find a way to make it happen. So....he got a smaller one for the girls and a bigger one for us to be able to ride with them. Scott had them in the driveway, so I snuck out with the video camera on Christmas morning, and Scott made up some story to get them out there. They were so surprised and happy! The looks on their faces were priceless! So, now we have a trailer, but nothing to pull it, which means we're pretty much limited to the backyard (and the rest of the neighborhood until we get caught). And you know what that means....Scott's on a new mission to find something 4-wheel drive. Does it ever end???

Yay for clippers!!

Now, it is a well-known fact that I like Scott's hair best when it's shaved down. He keeps it that way all summer because it's hot and it makes sense, but there's a part of him that loves change, so he finds the winter to be a good time to try out new "dos". People always assume that he shaves his head because his hair is thinning or he's going bald, but they are sorely mistaken.

Case in point....
I did the dance of joy when he told me he was going to shave it back down, but I wasn't aware it was going to be this much fun....

That's a lotta hair. And that's disgusting.

No, he no longer has the mohawk. Payton begged him to leave it like that for church, but he's not that crazy. I'm just so excited to have my summertime husband back! I love him no matter what, but the boy has waaaaaay too much hair. I know, I know.... one day he'll wish he still had hair. Yeah, yeah, yeah.....

Decorating fun

So, this was one of those Wal-Mart impulse buys, and it was a hit! With Payton, anyway. She worked on this gingerbread house for a looooong time (notice how the sun is up when she started, and it's dark when she finished). She assembled and decorated the entire thing by herself and did a mighty fine job!!

Then, it was on to the tree today! The girls put the tree together, I strung the lights and beads, and they did the rest. Again, they did a wonderful job! I really think we need new (more) ornaments, but the girls were in no mood to go shopping. At this point, I guess I'll wait until Christmas is over and hopefully get some really good deals!

Thanksgiving with the Primms

We had such a great Thanksgiving holiday in El Dorado! 15 people in 1 house for 4 days may sound a little scary to some, but we had a blast. Here are highlights of some of my most favorite people in the whole world....

The 4 girls were so creative and made their own spa. They had several stations and were doing manicures, pedicures, and massages. They were cheap, and they were good!! (The pictures got a little out of order. There's one of Payton at her station below.)

There was music....There was LOTS of cooking....
Or at least lots of people in the kitchen.
There was the control center.... It was a good thing everyone brought their laptop. And it's a good thing Scott went to Wal-Mart and bought that wireless router for his dad's birthday. Even though Randall and Alaine don't own a laptop.
There was a whole lotta baby holding....

There was Christmas tree decorating...
(Spa pic)
And then there was Redneck Day!! All that's missing is a big ole deer strapped to the back of one of the 4-wheelers! Yee-haw!

Craziness

Yeah...... we have that much fun.
